Forever means Forever!

39 Years?!?

When we committed ourselves to love forever we meant it.

In all of our years of marriage, I have rearranged the furniture and sold some pieces to create a different look in our home. I have also acquired the reputation of one who just can't live with the same wall color or bedspread decor for very long. I have changed my hairstyle more times than I can remember and - full disclosure - my hair color, too. I am notorious for changing my mind on all things: my taste in clothes, home decor, music, and spicy foods. Jeff, however, never rearranges, nor does he make impulsive decisions about anything, not even grabbing a head of lettuce at the grocery! He inspects and measures the cost and the benefit on everything ... even me. My husband knew what he was getting into when he asked me to be loved by him and love with him with my whole heart for all time. Trust - me he must have labored over that one!

Someone asked me recently after viewing our wedding video (we were singing to one another): "Joy what were you thinking at that moment?"

My immediate response was, "I saw my forever and was just fine with that."

Happy Anniversary to Us! I need to sign off now, have a couch to re-cover.
